Is the Surfcamp for beginners?

Absolutely! Our Surfcamp welcomes surfers of all levels, from total beginners to seasoned wave riders. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, we've got you covered.

Is a Surfboard and a Wetsuit included in the Surfcamp Package?

Yes! When you book our one-week Full Surfer Package, you'll get everything you need to hit the waves: surfboard, leash, and wetsuit. Just bring your stoke, and we'll handle the rest.

How many surf lessons are included?

You’ll get 5 epic surf lessons over the course of the week, one each day for five days. Each lesson is designed to boost your skills and confidence in the water, making sure you make the most of your surf adventure.

What kind of rooms do you offer?

You can choose from a variety of options: a private suite for yourself, a bed in the shared space, or sharing with your friend in our twin bed rooms or 3-bed rooms. There are plenty of options to suit your needs.

Is there a supermarket nearby?

Yes! About 1.5 km away, there's an organic supermarket and a bakery for essentials. Around 2.5 km is a larger regular supermarket. It's walkable, but not super close. Aljezur, which is about 9 km away, has many shops and a market. There's also a bus that runs from Arrifana to Aljezur with several stops in between, running a few times a day.

Do I need a car?

It depends on your plans. If you want to stay around the beach (trust us, there's so much to do, you might not want to leave!), you don't need a car. We have amazing restaurants and cafes within walking distance, and a bus for certain trips or hitchhiking options. But if you want to explore the amazing spots, villages, and beaches in the West Algarve and Algarve, then a car would be necessary.

How far is the nearest surf spot?

Arrifana Beach is within walking distance from our house, which will be the Mainspot. For other spots, we take you with our vans (with the Full Surfer Package). We've got you covered and always know where the best waves are running.

What is the average age in the camp?

The average age is probably between 20-30 years old.

Do you offer breakfast or dinner?

Not yet, but that will change very soon. If you're interested now, just send us an email and we'll find a solution for you.

How long is each surf session?

Each surf session lasts about 3 hours, giving you plenty of time to catch waves and improve your skills.

At what time are we going surfing?

We usually hit the waves in the morning, around 9 AM, but this can vary depending on the best conditions. We'll make sure to catch the optimal surf times.

How cold is the water?

The water temperature at Arrifana Beach varies throughout the year. In the summer months, it’s usually between 17-20°C (63-68°F), while in the winter it can drop to around 15-17°C (59-63°F). Don't worry, we've got the perfect wetsuit for you to stay warm and comfortable, no matter the season.

Can I also get a private lesson?

Absolutely! We offer private lessons tailored to your individual needs. Just let us know, and we'll set it up for you.

Are there any restaurants near the Surf House?

Yes! There are several amazing restaurants with stunning sea views just a short walk from the Surf House. You'll find a variety of delicious options, from traditional Portuguese cuisine to international dishes, all in really cool settings.

Are there any cafes?

Absolutely! Cozy surf cafés are just around the corner, perfect for grabbing a coffee, enjoying a snack, or just relaxing and soaking in the surf vibe.

What else can I do in the surrounding area?

The area around Arrifana Surf is full of activities and adventures. You can explore hiking trails with breathtaking coastal views, visit the charming village of Aljezur with its historic castle, or simply relax on the beautiful beaches. On certain days, you can enjoy sunset music with DJs and live music here and there, creating the perfect backdrop for your evenings. Whether you're into outdoor activities or just want to chill, there's something for everyone.
